After the rain
On tuesday I was alone in my garden when a heavy thunderstorm crossed our part of Holland. The sky turned ink black, an enormous amount of rain fell, and strong wind gusts swept over the plants and trees. I sat dry and safe in our little garden house and watched the spectacle. Luckily my Delphiniums and Lupins survived!
When the sun appeared again from behind the clouds, I took a stroll through my garden. It looked so pretty. The roses and foxgloves with waterdrops on their flowers, the steam above the path and our garden house. It was as if I saw everything through a haze. And the smell....of wet earth and grass..... To me one of the best smells there is.
Enjoy your day! Lieve groet, Madelief
